We are pleased to have the opportunity to give those of you considering either a new construction or remodeling project an idea of what we do during the construction process.
Each month we will be posting a new ‘Project of the Month,’ which we hope will give you an idea of the different processes during the making of someone’s house into a home they will enjoy for years to come.
For our first ‘Project of the Month’ feature we would like to thank Tom and Jackie of West Knoxville for allowing us to show off their custom backsplash.
The design was created with Tom and Jackie, their designer Betty Royer and with consultation by Exact Tile’s own Jenny Kurtz.
The materials used for this project were:

10 square feet of Urban Metals Bronze 1x2. - Used for the Diamond insert over the kitchen sink and for the 6 inch splash.

24 square feet of Copper Tumbled Slate 6x6. - Used as the field tile.

33 pieces of Copper Pencil: 1/2x8. - Used to frame the Diamond insert and to finish the 6 inch splash.
Site preparation was done by the home owners. Installation was done by Exact Tile and took a total of two and half days. In addition to the backsplash we had previously installed the tile floor.
